If there is a suspicion of neglect or emotional, physical or sexualized violence against a child, uncertainties often arise in the provision of care. Medical professionals are usually not fully aware of the legal framework. It is important to know the legal implications in order to take all the interests of the children concerned into account. This article presents the valid legal principles and provides possible options for action.
