摘要

Experts repeatedly warn against collecting and eating mushrooms without further specialist knowledge. Around 90% of all fatal mushroom poisonings worldwide are due to poisoning by Amanita phalloides (green death cap mushroom). A toddler was presented to the clinic after being found with a death cap mushroom in the outdoor area of a municipal kindergarten. It was not possible to determine whether the missing mushroom parts had been eaten. If an ingestion is suspected immediate initiation of treatment is indicated. This article presents the most important diagnostic and treatment options and provides an outline of the course of the expected clinical symptoms.
