Extremfrühgeborenes mit kongenitaler kutaner Kandidose
摘要
An extremely premature female twin infant (23 + 3 weeks gestation) developed extensive skin changes with erosions, ulcerations and necrotic areas on postnatal day 10 with a simultaneous deterioration in her general condition. The diagnosis of congenital cutaneous candidiasis was made and in consultation with a pediatric dermatologist an intensive topical treatment was applied in addition to 2 months of systemic antimycotic treatment. Risk factors, symptoms and treatment of this rare neonatal skin disease are discussed based on the case presentation.
