Korrektur abstehender Ohren

  • Ralf Siegert

摘要

A protruding auricle is the most common deformity in the head and neck region. It is not a single entity but usually affects different anatomical structures. These must be precisely analyzed to enable differential indication of the various surgical techniques, the principles of which are explained in detail herein. Unfortunately, the correction of protruding ears still has one of the highest revision rates of all aesthetic surgeries. Long-term stability and sustainability of the surgical result can only be achieved if the elastic tensions due to the biomechanical properties of cartilage are gently modified and precisely fixed.
