Background

External auditory canal (EAC) atresia is a congenital anomaly leading to hearing impairment. Various techniques have been used for its surgical correction, but no gold standard exists.

Method

This paper describes a fascia–skin composite grafting technique utilizing temporal muscle fascia and postauricular skin for EAC reconstruction.

Conclusion

Temporal fascia–skin composite grafting offers a reliable and effective option for EAC reconstruction with favorable results and minimal complications.
