<p>The working group “Assessment of Allergens in Occupational Disease No. 5101” of the Working Group for Occupational and Environmental Dermatology (ABD) and the German Contact Dermatitis Research Group (DKG) within the German Dermatological Society (DDG) develops and publishes recommendations for assessing the impact of occupational contact allergies with regard to the reduction in earning capacity (MdE) in cases of occupational disease No. 5101 (severe or recurrent skin diseases) according to Annex&#xa0;1 of the German Occupational Diseases Ordinance. These recommendations serve as a&#xa0;basis for expert opinions. They are regularly reviewed and updated as needed. This article presents a&#xa0;summary of the working group’s recently updated and published recommendations on selected contact allergens (acrylates and methacrylates, components of epoxy resin systems, isothiazolinone derivatives, formaldehyde, various rubber components).</p>
