Der schwierige Polyp im Rektum
摘要
The treatment of neoplastic alterations in the rectum, benign or malignant, is of great importance due to their frequency. Conventional snare resection usually does not enable en bloc removal, which makes it impossible to reliably assess the curative resection and is frequently associated with recurrences. The more technically complex procedures of endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) and endoscopic intermuscular dissection (EID), provide the possibility of completely removing even very large lesions in one piece, thus drastically reducing the risk of recurrence. When performed correctly, the risk of complications is only slightly increased. This article is intended to provide practical guidance on the preparation, implementation and follow-up care for the abovenamed techniques.
