Operative Therapie des Hämorrhoidalleidens
摘要
Hemorrhoidal disease is one of the most common diseases in industrialized countries and is also among the leading reasons for consultation in proctology outpatient clinics. Treatment of hemorrhoidal disease is indicated in the presence of enlarged hemorrhoids with symptoms. In this context, operative treatment is primarily indicated for Goligher grades 3 and 4 disease. Available surgical options include open, closed, reconstructive and pexy procedures. The choice of technique is based on patient-specific factors and clinical findings. This results in the necessity for practicing proctologic surgeons to maintain and be proficient in a broad spectrum of surgical treatment options. Currently, the health politically driven trend toward increasing outpatient care poses an additional challenge for the surgical management of hemorrhoidal disease, as hemorrhoidectomy according to Milligan-Morgan (involving at least three segments) is now the only proctologic hemorrhoid procedure that can still be performed in an inpatient setting.
