<p>An external rectal prolapse occurs primarily in older and previously ill patients. As healing can only be achieved surgically, an effective and minimally stressful surgical procedure is the basis of treatment. The Rehn-Delorme operation meets these criteria very well and is therefore a&#xa0;safe surgical method for this patient population. In this article, the procedure is presented in operational steps with appropriate images and the results are classified in the context of the existing literature.</p>

摘要

An external rectal prolapse occurs primarily in older and previously ill patients.
