Behandlung einer großen Wundhöhle bei Rektum-Anastomoseninsuffizienz mit dem VACStent GITM
摘要
A 56-year-old male patient with a proximal rectal carcinoma developed an extensive anastomotic leak after anterior rectal resection with partial mesorectal excision. This was treated with the VACStent GITM colon, which enables wound closure with simultaneous negative pressure wound treatment without the need for the placement of a stoma. Improvement in the general condition was already observed within the first 7 days. A total of 5 stents were used over 34 days, leading to the complete healing of the anastomotic leak, which was confirmed in the follow-up without the development of an anastomotic stricture.
