Behandlungsoptionen der Anastomoseninsuffizienz nach Rektumresektion

  • Felix Aigner

摘要

Background

Anastomotic suture healing disorders after rectal resection are a common complication associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Effective treatment of these complications is crucial for sphincter preservation and patient quality of life.

Objective

This study aims to evaluate the current treatment options for anastomotic healing disorders after rectal resection and assess their effectiveness.

Material and methods

A systematic literature review was conducted to identify various treatment strategies, including conservative and surgical approaches and to analyze the outcomes.

Results

Conservative treatment and endoscopic procedures including radiologically guided drainage show good success in less septic conditions of anastomotic healing disorders. Surgical interventions, such as reoperations or stoma creation, are necessary in advanced or refractory cases. New techniques, such as the use of stents provide additional treatment options.

Conclusion

Early diagnosis and a staged treatment approach are crucial for sphincter preservation and improved patient outcomes. Interdisciplinary collaboration and individualized treatment decisions are essential.
