Perianales Lipom im Erwachsenenalter

Perianal lipomas belong to the group of benign soft tissue tumors and are a rare entity. In the neonatal period they occur more frequently with rectoanal malformations. In adulthood a connection with trauma is discussed. A 27-year-old man presented with a lipomatous mass on the right perianal side that had been present for several years and was now rapidly progressing in size with increasing symptoms. The findings were unclear and diagnostic imaging was carried out followed by a complete excision. The suspected diagnosis of lipoma was histologically confirmed.
