Scores bei Darmobstruktion
摘要
Obstructive defecation, an emptying disorder of the rectum, represents one of the subcategories of chronic constipation that can be associated with significant functional impairments. Validated scores are used to objectify the functional impairment and reduction in the quality of life.
ObjectiveThe aim is to present and evaluate validated measurement instruments for the assessment of chronic constipation and obstructive defecation.
Material and methodsPresentation of selected scoring systems.
ResultsValidated measurement instruments are available for chronic constipation as well as obstructive defecation and enable assessment of the severity of symptoms. They can also support the diagnostic work-up and facilitate evaluation of the success of treatment.
ConclusionThe application of scores is particularly helpful in the clinical practice in both the diagnosis and treatment of functional disorders, in which the treatment is derived from the subjective impairment and distress of the patient.
