Die Therapieoptionen der chronischen koronaren Herzkrankheit mit der Traditionellen Chinesischen Medizin
摘要
Chronic coronary heart disease has been one of the leading causes of death in Germany for years. Furthermore, both hospitalization rates and morbidity remain high. In clinical practice, it is also evident that despite the full utilization of conservative and invasive treatment options, 2% to 24% of patients continue to experience symptoms daily or weekly, which is associated with a significant reduction in quality of life.
Against this backdrop, the question arises as to whether Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) modalities can contribute as a complement to guideline-based Western therapy. The focus here is on current scientific evidence. Finally, possible limitations of the use of Chinese medicine in clinical practice in Germany are discussed.
