Fallbeispiele und Überlegungen zu den Unpaarigen Leitbahnen (奇經八脈, Qijing bamai oder Jijing bamai)

The Extraordinary Vessels make up a separate energy/Qi-distribution system in the human body. They are of great importance for everyday clinical (acupuncture) use in the practice of Chinese medicine, e.g. for chronic illnesses, sleep disorders or gynecological problems.

In addition, certain acupuncture points located on the main channels have a special influence on the Extraordinary Vessels and are of outstanding clinical effectiveness.

This article briefly explains the background to this system of vessels as well as some individual theoretical and physiological aspects. Three case studies are also presented which illustrate their specific application.
