Die Unpaarigen Leitbahnen (qijing bamai) und die Psyche des Menschen
摘要
After giving an introduction to the psychological aspects of the Eight Extraordinary Vessels, the author presents the options they offer for practical therapy. The possible applications of the Thoroughfare/Penetrating Vessel (s. impedimentalis, chongmai) and the Girdling Vessel (s. zonalis, daimai) are examined from the psychotherapeutic perspective and are explained with the help of practical examples.
The treatment of these vessels has a particular function in the therapy of psychological illnesses; while the system of twelve channels primarily serves to treat currently existing symptoms of repletion (contrary flow) or deficiency (as a result of weakness), the specific treatment of one or more of the extraordinary vessels should help the patient to regain his or her original equilibrium and to clarify the following questions: Who am I? Where am I? Where do I come from? What is my task in life? What are my strengths and what options do I have?
The aim of this article is to provide suggestions as to how these questions can be integrated into Acu-Moxi-Therapy, and the author makes particular effort to give practical advice to help in clinical treatment.
