摘要

This article demonstrates that all the mayfly optimization algorithm (MOA) based fractional-order digital integrator (FODI) designs published in [2] are unstable, i.e., all the four proposed MOA-based FODI designs have one/more pole(s) located outside the unit circle in the Z-plane. We investigate the cause for this instability which renders the MOA-based FODIs unsuitable for physical implementation. Thus, the results and conclusions of [2] are misleading.
