Semi-analytical solution of unsteady one-dimensional sediment transport model through time fractional ADE

This study focusses to propose a semi-analytical solution of one-dimensional mathematical model for sediment distribution in suspension under non-equilibrium condition. Unlike most of the related existing works where traditional advection–diffusion equation (ADE) was considered, the present model incorporates the impact of non-locality (or time memory effect) through the time fractional advection–diffusion equation. The semi-analytical solution, which is based on Laplace and Fourier transform, is validated using a numerical solution, which is the first kind shifted Chebyshev collocation method.
