Medienberichterstattung über Nutztierhaltung: Wahrnehmungen und Bewertung in der deutschen Bevölkerung
摘要
The media coverage of agricultural livestock farming serves a dual purpose: on the one hand, it acts as a crucial link between agricultural livestock farming and the public. On the other hand, media coverage is regarded as a potential cause of growing disparities and an influencing factor for critical attitudes in the population. In 2022, a representative survey was conducted among citizens in Germany to examine how various demographic groups perceive and evaluate media coverage of agricultural livestock farming. The results revealed significant correlations between socio-demographic characteristics and the assessment of media reports. In particular, women and younger individuals tend to evaluate media coverage and agricultural livestock farming more critically. In contrast, men and older individuals tend to perceive agricultural livestock farming more positively than it is portrayed in the media.
